WEDDING CEREMONY

Weddings are the most memorable days for the couple, it brings family and community together. According to (Matthews,2008) explains wedding is a marriage ceremony and the party or special meal that often takes place after the ceremony. Adansonia Hotel is well known as hosting the most unique and beautifully garden weddings in Francistown. They have different themes that they use to setup the venue. On the 20 October 2014, Adansonia hosted a white wedding theme. During the set-up there were some certain aspects that were considered like theme, decoration, catering and entertainment.

THEME

When staging an event, the major artistic and creative decision to be made is that of determining what the theme is to be (Bowdin, et.al 2012).The theme of an event differentiates it’s from others events. At the wedding the couple decided to have a white wedding with “black and yellow” color. According to (Lovelock and Wirtz 2011) states that color catches the guests attention and creates a negative or positive feeling about the event .These color symbolized the unique love of the couple, the tables were covered with black table cloth and yellow covers, the chairs were covered with black cover chairs and yellow ribbon around them. Once the theme is established the entertainment is straightforward when deciding. Music is an important element in enhancing feelings and emotions (Lovelock and Wirtz 2004).At the wedding soft music was played, the couple and guests were very happy and danced until midnight.
