AWARD
CEREMONY
Adansonia Hotel, hosted the award
ceremony for Botswana Unified Revenue Services (BURS) on the 01-November
2014.According to (Bowdin et.al 2012) states that an award is a price or
certificate that a person is given for doing something well. BURS organize and
plan the award ceremony for their employees every year, as a way of motivating
them.
MOTIVATION
According to (Nickson, 2007)
viewed motivation as an important tool in the support of behavior to meet
organizational needs and as a stimulator feature that unleashes the tendency
for business continuation and also Christ et.al, (2012) explains that
motivation is referred to as being the reason that leads an individuals into
the realization of a particular action with a definite purpose of achieving
certain goals whether these are personal or organization. All the above
definition explains that the individual or employee must be satisfied in order
to meet assured targets in the organization. At the event the employees were
given bonus cheques and certificate of the best employee of the year. The
managers of BURS showed that they appreciate their employees work by awarding
them, these indicates good communication between the managers and employees .By
communicating with your employees leads to respect and trust, a happy employee
exceeds customer expectation.
